Our hair is always prone to damaging factors such as UV rays, chemicals in dyes and shampoos, excessive styling, and extreme temperatures whether from the environment or from a blow dryer. Hair loses its luster and vibrancy when the cuticle protecting the strands gets damaged. A common refuge to restore hair’s beauty is to trim it by cutting a portion to get rid of split ends. However, there are other natural remedies that can bring back the splendor of your hair as following:

1. Coconut Oil

Harness the rich nutrients of coconut oil to enjoy healthy hair with protected cuticles. One way to use coconut oil is to massage your scalp with it for five minutes from 3 to 7 times a week; then wash your hair the following morning with a mild shampoo.

2. White Vinegar

Cleanse your hair from built-up residue with the help of white vinegar. The use of this vinegar will supply your hair with numerous benefits as it seals the cuticle, boosts hair growth, restores the pH level of the scalp and leaves your hair radiant.

3. Olive Oil

Olive oil is filled with antioxidants, fatty acids and vitamin E which are all splendid for damaged hair. Components of olive oil protect hair from damage and preserve its moisture by sealing the cuticle. Massage warm olive oil on your hair and scalp gently for a couple of minutes. Then remove the flowers and leave the oil to cool and be used as hair oil. Massage the resultant oil on your hair and leave it on for half an hour before washing. 6. Bananas

If you want soft, elastic hair, bring bananas into play. Bananas are packed with potassium, natural oils and vitamins which can improve your hair. Apply a mashed banana on your hair thoroughly with your fingers. Then, after leaving it on for about an hour, rinse your hair with lukewarm water. You can do this once a week or once every other week.

7. Black Tea

Black tea’s richness in vitamins C and E and polyohenols makes it an excellent remedy for dry and damaged hair. Moreover, tea can protect the hair from UV rays. Unlike other remedies, black tea treatment is to be applied after shampooing as a last rinse. Put a black tea bag in a cup of boiled water. Put it aside for ten minutes then add a couple of jasmine essential oil drops and leave the mix to cool before rinsing your hair with it. Follow this treatment once or twice a week.
