Shiny pearl-white teeth are one of the most prominent characteristics of stars. They are the thing that makes you able to laugh out loudly instead of playing the “stoic personality” just to hide them. However, this isn’t easy as many of the things we eat and drink can cause teeth discoloration, such as:
1- Coffee is one of the most things that cause teeth discoloration. An acidic component called tannin in the polyphenols of the coffee cause the yellowish stains our teeth might develop when drinking coffee is one of our habits.
2- Every food with “berries” in its name. Most types of berries have
natural coloring agents. Moreover, they tend to stick easily to your teeth and in between them. It isn’t really unexpected that they cause discoloration since they can give your fingers and clothes difficult stains.
3- Curry can also cause discoloration. This happens because curry powder contains turmeric and cinnamon both of which have discoloration properties.
4- Cherries. Same as berries, cherries have natural pigments that can cause teeth discoloration. Cherries are another thing that can make difficult stains.
5- Beets. The vegetable that can be eaten raw, cooked or pickled. It is another food that has coloring agents and can cause teeth discoloration as a result.
6- Balsamic vinegar is another thing that can cause teeth discoloration. This isn’t just due to its acidic properties, but also due to the fact that it has a sticky consistency and natural discoloring agents.
Although all these food cause teeth discoloration after a long time of consumption, they are quite healthy. Therefore, do not give them up or eliminate them from your diet. Instead, wash your teeth twice or thrice a month with a toothpaste mixed with some baking soda.
