Some people are born with thin hair, while others have thick hair. Factors like environment, stress level and aging can cause hair fall, and you cannot avoid thinning hair entirely. There are many strategies that can help you make your hair look fuller.
First, you need to avoid chemical based products on your hair because they cause damage. Not all people get affected by these products, but it is best for people with thin hair to avoid them. Sodium laurel and sulfates found in most shampoos strip the hair of its natural oils that lead to weakened and falling hair. Instead, you should use products with soap agents and natural oils or organic products.
Avoid washing your hair every day and wash it two or three times a week, and you can use dry shampoo in between washes; it keeps your hair look and smell fresh in addition to making your hair look thicker.
Use essential oils such as lavender, chamomile, almond oil, coconut oil and many others that can help thicken your hair follicles. Apply some drops of your chosen oil into your scalp and massage the oil with your fingers, and you can also add few drops to your shampoo or conditioner. Use a wide- toothed comb rather than a brush and deal with the tangles carefully.
You need to be very gentle, when your hair is wet, and remember to pat your hair dry instead of toweling it roughly. Avoid ponytails and braids that pull the strands of your hair and cause breakage and falling.
Do not use heat styling tools like straight irons or curling irons, as they make your hair dry and fall out more easily. Avoid highlights and dyes; applying any chemical treatment will damage your hair and dry it.
