At some point or another, we all deal with insecurity. In daily life, being too insecure to attempt simple things, like talking to others, can give you a hard time all the time.
If you make yourself powerful, you can always keep moving forward, rebuild, overcome difficulties by your own will and more importantly find happiness whenever you go. The first step to overcome insecurity is to adjust your perspective. Take a step out of yourself for a moment and imagine you are a different person; think about what you would say to another person in your situation.
For example, if you are nervous about having an interview for a new job or going to a party where you do not know most of the people, imagine yourself giving advice to someone in a similar situation and think about that advice.
Doing this, you will realize there is nothing to be worried about and you will succeed if you put your mind to it. Write down all your fears and worries that make you feel like you cannot achieve anything. Ask yourself how many of them are just a result of negative thinking, and take the time to think about the root of your fears.
It is natural to be afraid of looking bad or of failure, nevertheless it is unnatural to be so worried feeling that you cannot get anything done.
Think about the positive solutions for your worries, and remember all the success you achieved in your life, rather than focusing on the times you embarrassed yourself. Take a long hard look at all the times you did really well. Keep a success journal in which you write down all your successes and things you are proud of. When you feel incapable of doing anything right, read your list to take a strong boost.
