If you choose to buy canned foods that are full of preservatives and pack your kitchen cupboards with just because you don’t have enough time to go to the groecery frequently then you are doing your body wrong, if you are lacking on time and space in your freezer to store fresh food then you still have many healthy options to go for, there are many types of foods that can store right in your kitchen cupboards for months and even years, the following is a list of the most common types.

1- Beans.

Instead of picking canned beans that are loaded with sodium and other chemicals, pick dry beans, they don’t contain no preservatives, dry beans also save space in terms of storing because they almost double in size after cooking.

2- Brown Rice.

Brown rice is rich in fiber that helps in reducing cholesterol levels in the body as well as preventing constipation, brown rice also contain vitamin E and other powerful antioxidants, it can easily be stored in your kitchen in room temperature for up to a whole year as long as the package is closed, if you open the package it need to be used within six month.

Dry dates is a perfect source of protein, fiber, potassium, vitamins and minerals and it can be used in many delicious recipes, dry dates can store in room temperature in a well closed container for up to six month.

4- Oat.

Oat is an excellent source of dietary fiber, it also provide the body with protein, vitamins and minerals and it can be stored in room temperature for up to six month .

5- Peanut butter.

Peanut butter is rich in protein and healthy monounsturated fats that are good for the heart, brain and overall health, Peanut butter can be stored in room temperature for nine months if not opened, when the package is opened it needs to be used within three months.
There can be many other options if you are conscious for your health including honey, quinoa, lintels, pumpkin, olive oil, almonds, dried apricots and chia seeds.
