Sodium bicarbonate is a chemical material usually used for baking and sometimes for cleaning, and some might take it as a treatment for bloating. But this is basically what most people think baking soda can do. In truth, baking soda is a wonderful substance that has so many uses. I am sure you will buy it in bulk as soon as you know some of them.

- Baking soda can freshen your closet. Some times closets make this stuffy weird smell and using fresheners might cause you allergies sometimes. Put an open pack of baking soda inside the closet to get rid of the smell and keep your clothes fresh.

- Ants can really disturb you at home and using ant killers and toxic chemicals to get rid of them is not a wise solution either (what if you have kids and the toxin got to their hands or toys?) baking soda kills ants and is safe for humans. Mix some baking soda with some sugar and put it close to ant trails. The sugar will draw them and the soda will kill them.

- You don’t need to toss your flowers in the garbage pin the day after you have got them. Just add a spoonful of baking soda to the water in their vase to make them stay fresh for a longer time.

- Some foods give you bad odors no matter what you do to get rid of them, such as garlic and onions. Add a spoonful of sodium bicarbonate to a glass of water and swish inside your mouth to get rid of the odor.

- There is no sense in spending much money on foot wash when you have baking soda. Fill a tub with warm water and add three tablespoons of baking soda then soak your feet in it to get rid of odors, pains, fungus and bacteria.
