When we say “butter” we think of desserts, hearty meals and too many calories. But that is not all there is to butter. Butter can be used for a lot of things around the house too. Let us read all about them:
- If you have been cleaning or cooking fish, butter can get rid of stinky fish odors. Rub some butter on your hands and wash them with soap and water. Your hands will be clean and odor-free.
- Butter can keep some types of food fresh for a long time in the fridge, such as cheese. If you don’t want your cheese to get moldy while in the fridge, rub its edges with some butter.
- butter is good for your skin and hair too, and there is a wide range of skin and hair home remedies that use butter. You can rub a little bit of soft butter on your hair before rinsing it with warm water for a shiny strong hair, and if your skin care products are not enough to moisturize your skin, rub it with some butter.
- Working with wax or sticky foods like toffee and marshmallow can make cleaning your hands a chore. Rub your hands with some butter before washing them with water and soap.
- If you have squeaky doors around your house, and you don’t have lubricant oil, you don’t need to buy one especially for squeaky hinges. Just rub the hinges with some butter and the noise will be gone.
- If you are boiling milk or pasta and don’t want them to boil over add a knob of butter.
- Sometimes pills are too hard to swallow and would make you gag if you try. Coat the pills you need to swallow with a little bit of butter.
