This simple breathing technique was brought to light by a renowned expert on holistic health, Dr. Andrew Weil and it can be done at anytime, anywhere and in any circumstances.
Here’s how it is done.
. Place the tip of your tongue to tough the roof of your mouth, you want to place it directly against the skin tissue that is right behind your upper front teeth, your tongue should remain there throughout the entire exercise.
. Now exhale all the way out throughout your mouth completely and make a whoosh sound while exhaling.
. Close your mouth and inhale through your nose on a count of four.
. Hold your breath in for a count of seven.
. Exhale from your mouth again while your tongue is touching the roof of your mouth with a whooshing sound on a count of 8.
This technique can also receive tension and stress as it helps to slow down your heart beats which in return helps your body to relax and get to sleep.
Make sure that the whole process remains as one breathing cycle with the exhalation time is twice as long as the inhalation time.
