10. Late expenses
Germany had to pay a lot of country lots of money for the loans they took to be able to go to the two world wars. Of course, these loans were with massive interests and this made the country not only suffer from the interests percentage but also from inflation. The last payment of the war reparations and loans interests was made in 2010.
9. Fake bus stops
Fake bus stops in Germany is used to help Alzheimer patients. Known to wander off and get onto various means of transportation without any obvious destination. Many German nursing homes came up with a clever trick to spot out Alzheimer patients to help them out easily and efficiently. Fake bus stops were set up and anyone was found near them was understood to be a patient immediately and thus helped.
In Hamburg, Germany shores experienced a gruesome epidemic which targeted toads. Toads were coming out of the water exploding in every known direction. It was a very strange incident which scientists were not able to explain until a month later. When the crows came for food, they understood what happened immediately. The crows would not eat the bits of the toads, instead they poked them and got the liver out. The toads were intoxicated from the water!
7. The IDOs on the German way
It is a commonly known tradition in German weddings for the bride to be kidnapped by friends and the husband to be is forced to hunt for her. This tradition is one of the funniest traditions in the German culture. However, it usually ends up in one big mess!
The GSG-9 is a German unit that was aimed for defying and terrorist attacks. They have engaged in more than 1,500 operations between 1973-2001 in which they used their arms only five times. These five times have been on five separate occasions when they mostly had to shoot the attacking dogs of the terrorists.
5. Speed limit, what’s that?
The Autobahn is the federal express way in Germany and it is speed limitless. Drivers drives at a speed of 240 kph and they would not be fined or anything like that. Accidents at this kind of speed are catastrophic, however, there are seldomly any accidents. In countries where accidens of over speeding happens, it is normally because of the fact that some drivers tend to stick to tge speed limit while others are relatively in much more hurry. This ends up really bad as it is a conflicting road speed. However, in Germany things are different as everyone is in a hurry.
Recycling in Germany is taken very seriously and neglecting this fact might result in one of two things; the workers will either write you a not so nice not or they will leave the garbage altogether. Recycling is important to Germans because their economy depends on it. However, some Germans always try to find a way around this whole categorising the garbage thing!
It is normal if you try to put a bad memory behind you to help yourself move on. However, it is something to move on and a whole other thing to forget and deny. Some of the Germans, apparently, like to forget all about the Holocaust thing and some even deny it ever happened. This behavior is illegal in 17 countries including Germany, this can get you fined and even behind bars. A Sieg Hail would put in jail for three years!
Apparently, it is a good thing in Germany for a boy or a man to be a Sitzpinkler rather than a Stehlpinkler! Well, that means that boys and men are urged to urinated in a sitting position rather than a standing position. To be a Stehlpinkler is messy and rude and this inspired toilet-manufactring companies to put a spuk that keeps the toilet seat down. This spuk will also chastise you verbally to keep it down if you tried to lift it!
Germany is indeed known to be the most beer-loving country. It has more than 1,250 breweries which is quite a lot. Oktoberfest is the biggest beer celebrating festival in the whole country, it is held in Munich where people flock to celebrate!
