People who eat diets rich in smoked meats regularly are also more susceptible to developing Gastrointestinal Infections and while many types of bacterial infections can occur as a result of eating smoked meats, Listeria monocytogenes is a specially common condition which causes a loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea and respiratory problems.
