Aloe vera can reduce hyperpigmentation (a main cause for uneven skin tone) and restore the original color of your skin. Due to the cooling effect of aloe vera, it helps rebuild damaged tissues and regenerate new cells.

Remedies using aloe vera can improve your overall complexion and lighten dark spots. Squeeze out the jelly- like substance inside the aloe vera leaf; apply it on your skin for about 30 minutes; then wash it off with water. Do this daily for two weeks and you will notice the difference, and if aloe vera plant is not available to you, you can use aloe vera gel available in the market.

Papaya can be used to lighten your skin due to its natural bleaching properties, and its various nutrients can make your skin healthy and glowing. When eating papaya as a fruit, its cleansing properties will rid your skin of impurities that could be the cause of darkening.

Take the skin of papaya and rub the inner part on your face, and when it dries, wash it off with cold water. Do this daily to give your skin a nice glow. Mix a mashed papaya with a cup of fresh lemon juice, and massage this mixture on your face and neck. Leave it for 30 minutes; then wash it off with cold water. If you do this once a week, you will observe a significant change in your skin.

Turmeric has antioxidant and antiseptic properties that are important to improve your skin complexion. Mix milk cram and turmeric powder to make a paste and apply it on your face. When it dries, wash it off with lukewarm water.

This is really an effective remedy for skin- whitening, if you follow it regularly. As an alternative remedy, mix one teaspoon of lemon juice, two teaspoons of gram flour and half teaspoon of turmeric. Leave this mask on your skin for 20 minutes; then scrub it off and rinse with lukewarm water.
