Are you a fan of the ‘Supernatural’ series? Or maybe you like horror movies? If you crave the chills and the thrills and like to believe that there are things around us which we do not see and if you like visiting places with the label ‘haunted’ on them, then let me introduce you to our list. Our list includes the most haunted and terrifying places all around the United States of America but why The States? A lot of people believe that the American history has faced a lot of turmoil, blood and suffering that the ‘spirits’ still haunt that very soil upon which these things took place.
Firstly, let me introduce you to NewOrleans, Louisiana where the oldest cemetery in the state lies. It is said to be protected by a voodoo priestess and that might be the reason behind the growls heard in the middle of the night. Another haunted state is Chicago, Illinois and particularly North Clarton street where Alcapoon and his goons murdered seven men with machine guns and their screams are still heard today. At the same time, Chicago is the home of the most haunted cemetery in America; Bachelor’s Grove cemetery.
Richmond, Virginia is one of the most active areas when it comes to paranormal activities. The Tachahoe plantation, Thomas Jefferson’s childhood home is known for the ghostly sightings since over a hundred years ago. Also the Edgar Allan Poe ‘s museum officials reported hearing children’s screams and footsteps on various occasions. In San Diego, California people reported to feel a sudden tightening around their necks while visiting the Whaley House which is believed to be accounted to the slow and painful death that ‘Yankee Jim’ suffered. He was executed for grand larceny and being too tall for the noose his death was slow.
