Everybody enjoys a properly cooked meat loaf, it is a special yet simple dish that all members of the family enjoy even the wife or the mother because it is easily and quickly cooked yet it always satisfied everybody.
There are many recipes for meatloaf out there but I would like to share my own recipe with you and I’m sure you will love it so much, it is fast and won’t take you more than ten minutes to prepare and while organizing your table and boiling the potatoes to go with it it will be ready. Check out this lovely and simple meatloaf recipe.
1 1/2 pound ground low fat beef.
One cup bread crumbs.
1/3 cup ketchup.
1/3 cup BBQ sauce.
Salt and pepper for taste.
One large finely chopped onion.
A pinch of spicy chilli powder.
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder.
One tablespoon tomato paste.
Three large Garlic cloves diced.
Two tablespoons brown sugar.
Preheat your oven to 350 degree F (175 degree C).
In a large bowl combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, bread crumbs, egg, tomato paste, half the amount of ketchup, chopped onion and diced Garlic together and make sure all ingredients are combined thoroughly very well.
Put the meat in a slightly greased 9×5 loaf pan or form into a loaf and place over a slightly greased baking sheet.
In a small bowl combine together the rest of the ketchup, chilli
powder, Garlic powder, BBQ sauce and brown sugar together very well.
Brush half the BBQ and ketchup mixture over the meat loaf and put in oven for half an hour then brush the other half of the mixture and put back in oven for another half an hour.
Serve with mashed potatoes and sauteed vegetables.
