We could be abandoned, experience ridicule or lose employment, if we do not meet the conditions that others place on us. In this way, the most dangerous thing one could do is to be authentic or spontaneous in all areas of life.
You always need the outside source to feel worthy, even if you succeed to find your worth in a relationship or a career, so you live in fear due to much dependence on something you cannot control. Worth resides at the core of every being, so it cannot be proven or dis- proven.
Your worth is guaranteed and unconditional; this is something they failed to teach you in school. The mere attempt to prove worth leaves you experiencing unworthiness, as in the quest to prove your worth you first believe you are unworthy.
Worthiness is the main issue for so many challenges in life; feeling unworthy causes addiction, co- dependence, illness, depression, poor communication, lack of confidence, confusion, obesity, panic attacks, power issues, eating disorders, relationship issues, trust issues and the list goes on. Actually, all issues are tangled with the issue of worthiness, so the ultimate cure for most of life’s problems is through healing the worthiness issue.
If you do not feel worthy, you cannot love yourself and also cannot allow others to love you, which is the number one cause of relationship issues. To turn off the worthiness program you need to claim your power over it; nothing has power over you no matter how powerful it may seem.
You must believe you have the power to change anything in your life. Stop acting like your worth is conditional and stop looking to the outside world for your worth; this traps you in a vicious cycle with no way out.
