Detoxing has been known since the time of ancient Egyptians. They set certain times and days for drinking nothing but water to detox their bodies and flush ailments out. Now, scientists have proved that to be true. Water can indeed be an effective way of hydrating your body, ridding it of toxins and giving it all the nutrients it needs. Here are some of my favorite detoxing water recipes.
1- Strawberry water detox: in a pitcher, combine a cub of cut strawberries, a pinch of coarse salt, 2 springs of rosemary, and 2 cups of cubed watermelon. Fill the pitcher with filtered water on top of these ingredients, refrigerate them for 6 hours and drink when you feel thirsty.
2- This recipe is good for both hydration and fat burning. You need 2 mint leaves, 6 wedges of pink grapefruit, one tangrein, half a cucumber and half a gallon of water. Put all in a pitcher and let it sit for 2 hours. Drink it in the same day.
3- Here is a very refreshing flavored water recipe that can enhance your immune system and refresh you as well. In a big pitcher, put 12 cups of water, 3 sliced lemons, a sliced cucumber, and a fistful of mint leaves. Refrigerate for 4 hours at least and drink when needed.
4- This miraculous fusion detoxes your vital organs, hydrates you, and boosts your immunity at the same time. In a pitcher, add half a cucumber, few mint leaves, 4 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and a sliced lemon. Fill the pitcher with water and refrigerate overnight.
5- This flavored water recipe can help your body get rid of all the extra water weight. Put some sliced Fuji apples in your pitcher with few cinnamon sticks and some water and ice. Let this mixture set for 15 minutes before drinking.
