Each mother would say that she knows what is best for her children better than any one, and the choices she makes for taking care of them are no one’s business; such women do not tolerate other people telling them what they should or should not do for raising their children. Some mothers argue that it is their right to choose no to vaccinate their children; they consider this matter highly personal and should be decided by the family only.
They think that leaving such decision to someone they have never met and who does not care about their children personally is really absurd. These women believe that others follow unnecessary old rules injecting children with chemicals to prevent diseases that have been erased many years ago.
Nowadays, we find many public figures and organization trying to show that immunizing children cause more risks than benefits, and they represent the anti- vaccination movement that is increasingly growing recently.
According to those who are in favor of children vaccination would mention that children’s vaccination is important to save their lives from fatal illnesses and to save them form any suffering. A good example for the great impact of vaccines is the elimination of polio, which was once one of the most feared diseases. It is recognized that children are given vaccines after a careful and long review by scientists and doctors.
When children get sick for not taking their vaccines, they are denied attendance at schools, and of course their sickness would entail medical bills and lost time at work for the parents.
Thanks to vaccines, many diseases- that killed or disabled a lot of people- have been reduced or eliminated and now birth defects associated with German measles are no longer seen. If we maintain vaccinating, some diseases of today will disappear and they will not be around to harm our children in future.
